How To: Costume Party: Snooki

So I have always been one to dress up for parties! Whether it's a theme or just a dress-up fancy party, I love getting into costume! Sometimes getting a great idea or pulling together a fantastic costume at the last minute is rather tricky- so ladies, the next time you need a hilarious/ celebrity/ ridiculous costume idea, just grab the following items and declare yourself SNOOKIFIED.
Now, I have never actually watched a single minute of her claim to so- called fame, "Jersey Shore," so I really had no idea how to embody Snooki. But when I showed up at my friend's "Party Like a Celebrity" birthday bash as Snooki, everyone basically told me she's always drunk, letting it all hang out, and either on a pole or the floor..... not really my style. At all. Sooooo I just let the costume and make up speak for itself.
Here we go:

FACE:
You want to pretty much resemble an oompa loompa in your complexion.
Get a shade of foundation about ten shades too orange for you; apply generously.
Skip powder altogether and just use bronzer all over your face. NARS Laguna Bronzer does wonders for this, and when used correctly for daily wear is beautiful!
EYES:
-Smoky, sparkly eyeshadow and huge false lashes are key! I used the basic black, sparkly black, and silver from this Wet N' Wild palette
and don't forget the false lashes!

LIPS:
I just wore a pink gloss, that seems to be her go-to lip shade.

HAIR:
God bless you in the morning following this hairstyle.
You want to leave just two small chunks down in the front. I clipped mine near the base in front of my forehead so they wouldn't get ensnared in what was to come.
Get a fine toothed teasing comb and a really good hairspray. I used AquaNet, which I've always used in dance, cheer  and theatre. Don't even bother with regular hairspray, this stuff is like glue; trust me, this is coming from a girl whose hair is super fine and limp and rarely holds a style.
Lift up the front of what you will make the bump; tease in about 1 inch sections and work your way from the front to the back of the crown of your head, hairspraying each section before AND after teasing (a light spray prior to teasing helps it adhese more efficiently). You could use a Bumpit, which would really help hold a style such as this (and I actually went to High School with the inventor's daughter! Crazy).
Once your pouf is in the shape and place you deem just right (the higher the hair, the closer to God, right?), bobby pin it about 6 times at the bottom of the pouf on the back of your head; no one will be looking at that anyway.

Voila. It's me. SNOOKIFIED.

OUTFIT:

Basically grab your sexiest/ skankiest LBD or sparkly dress, some ridiculously tall pumps/ heels/ boots, get some bling (I wore rhinestone hoops earrings and big sparkly bangle bracelets), maybe a stupid trucker hat or a big floppy hat, and either a furry, leopard print, or leather jacket. If you don't have these, great places to find them for cheap are WetSeal or Charlotte Russe (to name just a few).

Me and Ke$ha:

There you have it.
